Hello. This website will provide useful infomation regarding the Village of Webster and our community. I have a unique perspective to bring in my role as Webster Village Mayor and member of our Webster community. I have involved in the politics of our Village and Town for almost 20 years. I was first appointed to the Village Board in 2005, elected in 2006 and re-elected for a 4 year term in 2007. I was appointed Deputy Mayor in 2008, served as Acting Mayor in January of 2010 and was appointed Mayor by the Village Board on February 2, 2010. I was elected Mayor in March of 2011. I am an appointed member of the Business Improvement District Board of Directors and a liaison to the Farmers Market. I am also the laision to the Webster Village Band and Vice President of the Webster Community Coalition for Economic Development. My unique responsibility is to maintain close relations to Town Government, County Goernment and the Webster School District. I invite you to check out the information in the web site. I believe very strongly that Village residents and the media should have broad access to the documents that we see as members the Village Board. There is great value in the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Laws. But elected officials can provide that information in other ways, like through this website. I hope by providing the information here, I might start a trend that will result in more open government for all of our residents.
