Pictured here is the Village Float, Kathy Vendel in her magical costume, Bill Southwell getting ready to rock, and Daniel Barham decked for the occasion. It was probably one of the largest turnouts for White Christmas ever - people jammed both sides of Main Street.
2009 Veterans Day - Honoring those that served
Every year the Village hosts a Veterans Day luncheon. Before that is the Veterans Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park. This year was special - my father now has a brick marking his service.
2009 Trick-or-Treat Trail & Costume Contest
Another incredible Trick-or Treat in the Village. It was my fifth Chairing the event. Here are some of the costume winner and some scenes from around the Village.

2009 Village Days Photos - Street Scenes
Featured here are the four street scenes from West Main Street and one from East Main Street. Notice the booths in the middle of the street. It was a great turnout.
2008 White Christmas in the Village: A beautiful night and wonderful time.
A group congregating near the judges stand just before the start of the Parade of Lights. There were a record number of entries on the Parade this year. In addition to the Parade, there was caroling and many of the Village businesses were open. This photo was taken from the block that is being reconstructed on East Main Street.
A firetruck participant in the parade. The parade started at Kircher Park (the line wound around the corner onto Lyons Drive). I was proud to march with the Village float (which won a prize for the second year in a row!) with my sons. They threw candy at the huge crowds that lined Main Street.
Trustee Donna Rickard and her husband Greg at the Salvation Army Kettle. Donna has done this every year in the freezing temperatures.
2008 Haloween in the Village: Costume Contest. Again, I served as MC to this event linking the BID and the Village.
Setting up the room and the first people entering for the costume contest.
Judges for this year: Thomas DiSalvo, Town Justice; Mayor Jake Swingly, and the Methodist Minister, the reverend Lee.
Residents had to sign in. Here is our favorite resident witch, Carol Klem helping out. Carol keeps careful track on all that happens in the Village. She writes an excellent column in the Herald about all the comings and goings in our Village.
We had a record number of participants this year. The room was very crowded - so much so that I hd to take photos from the front of the room. Here some of our residents relax awaiting the judging.
2007 Village Days: Candidates walking; balloons, tents and vendors and lots of fun!
2007 Halloween in the Village: Costume Contest. I had the privelage of MCing the event for a seconded year as the volunteer Chair linking the Village government with the Business Improvement District.
Residents stopping into businesses along the Trick-or Treat Trail. It was perfect day. No rain. Just a touch of Autumn chill in the air.
My wife took chage of the wagon which was hitched behind a Village truck. I got on for about an hour and took this picture as we stopped at Hanks for free ice cream (the kids yelled that up and down the Village the rest of the trip).
Ann Marie Champaign is the driving force behind our costume contest. She and my wife Pam deserve the lions share of credit for keeping me organized. Here Ann Marie is handing out goodies in front of Village Hall.
2007 White Christmas in the Village
The Gazebo was decorate for Christmas. My family and I marched in the Parade of Lights with the Village float and later I accepted an award on behalf the Village for the outading design of the float. Frigid night but fun for all. And, last note: what a gem the Chorus of the Genesse is with their festive music line-up held at the Harmony House.
